Structural Design Engineers with up to 5 years experience with structures of all types and complexities. Successful candidates will have a minimum B.S. degree from an accredited University with a major in structural engineering or civil engineering with a structural emphasis. A strong working knowledge of both UBC and IBC codes is necessary for our nationwide client base. Previous construction support experience and excellent communications skills are important. Experience with three dimensional computer modeling (ETABS, SAP2000 – Linear and non-linear) is a plus as is a California PE or SE license.

Three to seven years experience in structural design, due-diligence experience a plus. Must have California P.E. license. Position involves substantial field time to conduct evaluations, primarily in Southern California, but with opportunity to travel throughout the Western states. Field evaluations will be followed by detailed, written reports, and client follow-up. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Successful candidates will have related technical experience and an Associates Degree from an accredited technical school. With an emphasis on research and analysis this person is responsible for performing detailed analysis of complex structures, elements and connection assemblies in all materials, subjected to extreme loadings. Advanced degrees (MS minimum) in structural engineering are required, with demonstrated skills in non-linear dynamic finite element analysis. Successful candidates must have experience in structural design and analysis using programs such as LSDYNA, ETABS and SAP Nonlinear, ABAQUS, FEAP, and others. Experience in the application of dynamic loading and the behavior of structures subjected to earthquake, blast, and progressive collapse load conditions is a plus.
