As Founder of MHP in 1972, Garry Myers contributes his expertise and knowledge in the field of structural engineering, continuing to develop client relationships while instilling core company values for the staff.  As President, Garry is responsible for business operations and the strategic direction of the company. A licensed Structural Engineer in California, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Missouri and with over 40 years in the structural engineering field, Garry’s contributions to the company continue to be key.

Garry strives to maintain an ideal environment where the very best engineers can unite, professionally develop and deliver a consistently high quality of structural engineering services to clients in a professional and responsive manner.  As a natural leader in the field, Garry attributes his ability to satisfy clients by making them partners in the design process.  With his ability to think quickly and offer innovative solutions to structural and construction problems, Garry injects reality into today’s computer designs, keeping up with the benefits of technology.

Garry’s experience and skills are highly sought after in MHP’s specialized Expert Witness & Forensics division.  At MHP, he spends approximately 20% of his professional time consulting with a select group of attorneys who specialize in the field of Construction Defect Litigation. Offering expert testimony, he has been called as an expert witness in numerous mediations, arbitrations and trials dealing with issues in the construction process. It is Garry’s knowledge and unbiased review that helps the parties involved understand the issues and contributing factors. In addition to his expert witness work, Garry provides key support to the Seismic Risk division.

Garry graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1963.   He is a member of Chi Epsilon, ACI, SEASC and ASCE.  When not busy in the office, Garry is an avid cyclist and sailor and enjoys living with his wife, Michele, in Long Beach.
