The Cascades at Summit in Aliso Viejo consists of two, four-story steel-framed Class A office buildings served by a four-level parking structure. Constructed in 2007, the campus is located within the greater 1.7-million-sf master planned Summit office campus. MHP was retained by the lender to assist with assessment services for a commercial real estate transaction.

MHP’s consulting services consisted of an ASTM-compliant Level 1 Seismic Risk Assessment to provide our client with an independent third-party opinion of expected seismic performance. Services provided included a field assessment by a California Licensed engineer, review of the site-specific geologic seismic hazard, and a determination of building damage for the lender-specified return period earthquake hazard.
