Scripps Plaza is an approximately 203,000-sf office property located in the Mira Mesa district of San Diego. The campus consists of a three-story wood-framed office building, a six-story steel-framed office building, and a three-level parking garage, all constructed in 1985. MHP was retained to assist with assessment services for a commercial real estate transaction.

MHP’s consulting services consisted of an ASTM-compliant Level 1 Seismic Risk Assessment to provide our client with an independent third-party opinion of expected seismic performance. Services provided included a field assessment by a California Licensed engineer, review of the site-specific geologic seismic hazard, and a determination of building damage for the lender-specified return period earthquake hazard.
