The 2024 Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC) Convention kicks off this week in Portland, Oregon, bringing together structural engineers and other professionals for a variety of informative sessions and workshops. MHP’s Reihaneh Sarraf, PhD, SE & Kenneth O’Dell, S.E. will present on individual panels this week.
Reihaneh will be co-presenting with Justin Marshall from DuraFuse Frames to discuss the Hilton/Arcadia project, where the DDF Arrow configuration from DuraFuse, combined with traditional retrofit measures, was implemented to enhance the seismic performance of the existing Pre-Northridge moment frames.
Ken will be participating in a panel discussion on advocacy in service of the public and the profession and the fundamental role structural engineers play in advancing their expertise through public outreach.
