The project consists of a new private rooftop pool serving the penthouse suites at the tenth floor of the hotel, a new roof-top restaurant enclosed by glass, and featuring a retractable glass roof, and a new roof over an open bar.

MHP worked in collaboration with the architect and owner to size and locate the pool favorably to minimize mandatory seismic upgrades to the penthouse steel braced frame lateral system and to develop a framing system for the restaurant and bar that does not necessitate strengthening of the concrete slab and columns below.
