This 1971 vintage office complex located in the Core-Columbia neighborhood of San Diego, California consists of an 18-story tower and attached one- and two-story buildings constructed over a 2½-level subterranean parking structure. MHP was retained to assist with assessment services for a commercial real estate transaction.

MHP’s consulting services consisted of an ASTM-compliant Level 1 Seismic Risk Assessment to provide our client with an independent third-party opinion of expected seismic performance. Services provided included a field assessment by a California Licensed engineer, review of the site-specific geologic seismic hazard, and a determination of building damage for the client-specified return period earthquake hazard.
